The Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band is Northern Ireland's premier grade 1 pipe band. From humble beginning in Carryduff in the 1940s, they have gone on to become one of the most successful pipe bands in the world, having recently won the World Pipe Band Championships for a fourth time. They have been directed since the early 1980s by Pipe Major Richard Parkes, who was recently honoured with an MBE in recognition of his contribution to piping in Northern Ireland.

The band has recorded three albums to date, entitled ‘Debut', ‘FM Live in Concert', and ‘Unplugged', which was recorded at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in August 2002, right before their win at that years World Pipe Band Championships. They are renowned for their innovative arrangements combined with superb percussion accompaniment.
