For the third consecutive year the Armagh Pipers Club featured on the gig-rig at Feile Oriel. Once again the gig-rig occupied a new site which this time was the beautiful piece of urban space created in the Diamond just outside the Westenera Hotel. The club was represented this year by a 16 strong group just returned from a week long residential on the Isle of Skye at Feis an Earraich. As well as learning new tunes, songs and dances from the Scottish Gaelic tradition they also had various public performances there playing their own music learned in the Pipers Club.
This year's Feile had great weather which encouraged a huge crowd to gather around the gig-rig on both days. The group played a selection of tunes involving both the whole group at times with trios and quartets in between. Finnola Mallon performed songs on both days and dancers Eamonn Burns and Daniele Stewart danced in the Plaza.
